IHAP Phase 1 – Registration Open

Arivva is recruiting individuals interested in exploring careers in the healthcare industry in Tacoma and Pierce County.

IHAP is a FREE, two-phase employment program that offers paid training for entry-level job seekers in the healthcare sector. Classes are taught in-person (Phase 1) and online (Phase 2), allowing you flexible options to learn. 

Explore healthcare careers and develop relevant job skills with our instructors, coaches and mentors guiding you throughout the 2-phase program and assisting with any support services needed.

Participants also receive job placement assistance with employers dedicated to their career growth.

Arivva is a non-profit organization that provides no-cost Job Training Programs. Students can graduate from our programs and prepare for immediate employment. We work with our students and our affiliates to help our graduates obtain full-time jobs paying livable wages with benefits.

Arivva’s IHAP Phase 1 Program provides students with an excellent education to enter careers in the health care field. IHAP Phase 1 includes 45 of classroom time over three weeks, with some online learning, and takes place in Tacoma. Participants will be informed about Phase 2 training to prepare for certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant [NA-C], or apprenticeship in anticipation of full-time employment. No prior experience is necessary.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Course Length: 3 weeks | 45 hours

Class Schedule: June 10-28, M-F, 10AM-1PM

Location: Tacoma. Details will be provided

  • All materials are provided. Students will meet in person.

     

  • Eligibility

    Must be at least 18 years old
    Must be low-income
    Able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Have a high school diploma or GED,
    Be proficient in English (ESL Level 5) and have basic computer skills.
